What is Poetic Language?

Poetic language is the word choice I use in my poetry to convey a certain message. It can also be certain techniques (such as rime or dialog) to help express the overall message of the poem. Poetic language is not necessarily different from poetry because it is the poetic language that makes up a poem. If it were not for the poetic language, I feel like anything could be a poem. The poetic language makes it easier to identify a poem and the deeper message that is trying to be revealed. Overall, I feel like the poetic language makes up the poem, therefore they go hand in hand.
